Dr Tina Gupta

Consultant Psychiatrist
MD Psychiatry AIIMS , New Delhi

I am an experienced and compassionate Psychiatrist working with a wide range of developmental, emotional, behavioral and psychological issues with persons as young as toddlers to elderly. I finished my residency and training from AIIMS, New Delhi in 2004 followed by professional affiliations with many institutions and hospitals in Delhi. At present I am practicing from my private office at Wee Care Clinic, Hauz Khas, New Delhi. I am working with clients all over India as well as Indian diaspora living abroad in US, Canada & Europe.  I have practicing privileges' at Max Hospital Panchsheel Park, New Delhi. I am also associated with National Institute for Public Cooperation and Child Development NIPCCD under Ministry of Women and Child as an Expert in Child and Adolescent Guidance Clinic.

I try to keep myself up to date with new developments in psychiatric practices. Over my 20 years long journey in the field of mental health I got opportunities to participate in academic work, teaching, research work, clinical work as well as pro bono work with non profit organizations. After a long  stint in general adult psychiatry I have bifurcated my practice to work with children. I am running an initiative for child mental health with a team of psychologists, special educators and early intervention experts. ICCAYA- Integrated Center for Children, Adolescents and Young Adults deals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Dyslexia and other behavioral , learning or psychological issues. Currently I am also pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Developmental Neurology  to enhance my knowledge and skills in caring for children with developmental disorders.

Women mental health has always been a core area of interest. I have been working with young women with mental health issues that emerge with the stages of a women's reproductive health journey and those linked to a women's unique life experiences in family, society, work and relationships.

When making decisions about treatment I always recommend comprehensive psychiatric evaluations that help in multiple ways. My assessment methods are very comprehensive and these sessions have both diagnostic and therapeutic benefits to the client.

I use a comprehensive treatment approach with medication accompanied by Solution Focused Brief Therapy in each meeting with the client. Further I use psychotherapeutic skills in many practice when treating patients with complex emotional and psychological needs.
